From a mere handprint factory, PT Sri Rejeki Isman (Sritex) is now an integrated textile factory with the most modern machineries. Behind high spirit for innovation, lies a long journey. Sritex started as a trading company namely “Sri Rejeki” that was established in 1966 in Klewer market, Solo, Central Java, Indonesia. This small trading company expanded, by producing bleached and dyed fabrics in its first factory in Baturono 81A, Solo in 1968. The company was registered at the Department of Industry of Central Java in August 30, 1974 and later emerged from U.D. (Usaha Dagang - Trading Company) to a PT (Perseroan Terbatas - Limited Company) based on Public Notary no.48 May 22, 1978. The company has officially changed its name to PT Sri Rejeki Isman in October 16, 1978.
PT Sri Rejeki Isman was then expanded its plant to spinning and weaving in May 8, 1982. The founder, Mr. H.M. Lukminto, managed to run Sritex to be a vertically integrated Textiles-Garments plant comprising of 4 spinning units, 5 weaving units, 3 dyeing printing units, and 6 garment units. The business of PT Sri Rejeki Isman is located on several properties of more than 100 hectares and employs around 13.500 people. Our achievement does not just cover the business aspect. Sritex has been four times awarded by MURI (Museum Rekor Indonesia Indonesian Record Museum). In 1995 Sritex made a new record of holding flag ceremony with the most participants. In 2007 Sritex made 3 MURI awards as the company that:
- Design more than 300.000 fabric motives
- Produce military uniforms for 16 countries
- Most routinely hold flag ceremony, every 17th day of the month over the year
